WISHING OUR MATE NICK NEWTON, all the very best. We are so very proud of you, for participating in this event. Stay safe. See you back in Newcastle. xo From: The Priceline Pharmacy Jewells Team
I would like to wish my dad Greg Williams the best of luck with the ride. Thinking of everyday day! Fly like the wind... Keep up your awesome work...and we will see you at the finish line on Sundy.... Love always your princess Melissa and your future son in law Norbit xxxx
Happy Fathers Day Ian Richardson (team Shiraz) and to all the "dad" riders! Sounds like you're having a great time. Given its Fathers Day we thought we would share a "dad" joke that Trevor shared with us yesterday at the kids Shigan grading. He said he was at Lambton Park the other day walking his two dogs. A woman approached him and asked "are they Jack Russell's?" Trevor says "nah, they're mine!" 😝 Boom boom. Ride safe, have fun. Love you. X
Hope you are all going well and enjoying your ride! you are all amazing people creating memories that will last forever. Best of luck to Alex and Team Red! Love Ron and Judy Cant xoxo
I would like to give a big shout out to Nee (Team BOQ) doing this ride for the 3rd year in a row and this year being the hardest yet. Nee you have done one amazing job given all changes and challenges you have endured in the past 12 months. I am so proud of you and what you have achieved in the past 12 months and so proud to have been part of your fundraising efforts this year. Whilst you are riding your massively big heart out each day, I am here riding with you in spirit and hopping on a spin bike every day where ever I am and riding at least 30km to give you a little head start each day! ;p I know today of all days has been your biggest challenge, as its fathers day and your missing dad like nothing you have before. Never forget how proud he is of you in all that you are and how you are not only a legend in your own lunchtime but in everyone else's as well. :) So my words of wisdom are for today and for the next 7 days of the ride are 'it never gets easier, you just go faster'. So pedal your legs faster and reach those stars my friend. Luv you always, Jode xoxoxo (lots of hugs and kisses).
Think you're all wonderful. Love the blog Donna, love the family updates and photos Rhiannon. Glad the weather has been kind, push on all. All the best for a big day tomorrow. Love Trace xx
Nee, your nearly half way and I bet u conquered your mountains today like a BAWS!!! each aching muscle or bone, heartache, blood, sweat and tear shed is for your Dad! This will be your hardest ride yet but u will be more determined to do it for him. I know he's so proud of you and I felt your heaviness right from the start of this journey. Thank you for the honour of sharing the start of your 3rd journey with you, you are a blessing to everyone around u Nee. I can't encourage u anymore than your other messages of encouragement that you have flowing in, however, I will continue to carry you through, in my prayers. Focus on each peddle bringing you closer to the finish line and to your loved ones. Chin up darl, stay positive and focused, keep your headspace clear, I know your struggling.... As I said I FEEL IT TOO. I love you my treasured friend and I can't wait to celebrate with you real soon xxx love you forever. Riki
Wow......what an incredible bunch of riders and support crew the 2015 Virgin Australia 1000k's 4 Kids team are. To get through 130km, over 2300m of vertical climbing all on day 4 is nothing short of sensational. No doubt there were lots of nerves, a few tears and both physical and mental pain. The support crew would have been willing each and everyone of you on today as they watched on while you all accomplished a massive hurdle. A huge congratulations to you all and enjoy the remaining days on the road.
To my beautiful husband Road Dog - You are amazing. So proud of your efforts today especially with your back the way it is. Each year you get stronger and stronger and I'm so proud of you. I love that you fully support Camp Quality which is so close to my heart.
Lastly, to my wonderful work wife......You are an absolute legend! Sheer grit and determination saw you achieve something you never thought possible today. No matter how many tears, how much pain, or how over whelmed you are right now, no one can take today away from you. You have done what very few people will ever achieve in a lifetime. No longer can you say you are not sporty or athletic. You're a dead set legend!!!
To all you wonderful people doing it for the kids - we think you are unreal. Thank you Donna and Ali for the informative blogs, we love them. What a surprise to wake up to photos of a bald Alex yesterday - however I am not sure whether Montana wanted to laugh or cry! Good on you. You are all so selfless. So happy the weather has been so kind. Can't tell you how quite the house is without you Rhiannon - but I am always so proud of you. Keep up the good/hard work - PUSH HARD. Tracey Varley xx

To the magnificent yellow army - the beloved support crew. Early mornings, long days and late nights don't even begin to explain what you do to keep this ride ticking along. Your dedication to keeping each and everyone of the riders safe during the day is absolutely amazing. To then continue on with various duties both morning and night with out complaining - you guys rock!
A special shout out to the beautiful Bec and Shari. You guys just keep on going. You're like two little energiser bunnies who I miss you very much. Thank you for the regular updates and I can't wait till I see you tomorrow night.
Lastly to a very special person the man in blue Mr Finemaster. I hope you're keeping everyone on their toes and not giving Queen to much grief by turning on heated seats in 30 degree heat, or hitting the brakes and screaming just as she rests her head on the side of the car. Queen, I hope your looking after Finemaster and giving as much as you get....But seriously, I'm still waiting for one of you to do me proud and get the Joker Jersey. One more night! Much love to all on an awesome effort so far. Just two more days of riding x Bella
By the time you all read this you will have achieved 9 days riding and be surrounded by fabulous friends and family. Now I know there was some laughing about me leaving off some very important people from my blog post last night but that because I was leaving it till tonight.
To two unsung heros of this ride and your fearless leaders – King and Donna………King, you are an absolute inspiration to Camp Quality and everyone who is on this ride. To plan, coordinate and participate in each ride is a mammoth task. Not only that, this year, you pulled on your lycra and commenced the ride suffering from a pretty nasty illness. But true to your form, nothing could have stopped you as you encouraged the riders along every step of the way no matter how much you were hurting. Getting in that car when your bike broke would have broken your heart, however it was amazing to see you get into the spirit with so much enthusiasm and see the ride from the cars point of view. Your fun therapy efforts were pretty entertaining. You are amazing, awesome and a dead set legend. We are so lucky to have you as part of our organisation and even luckier to be able to call you a friend.
Donna… Such an extraordinary woman whos heart and soul shines through on this ride and our Newcastle Team. The work you do behind the scenes to get this up and running is incredible. Long hours and sleepless nights are just the beginning for each event. The countless emails you send, the fundraisers you attend and help organise, the sponsors that you convince to come on board and the fact you know exactly what is going on with each and every one of the participants is insane. But in your mind you do it for the love and for the children! Thank you for being such an amazing woman, this ride would not be a success without you and we love you!!!
To my beautiful husband – I am so super proud of you. Third time completing the event, no wife there to nag you, you rode with a back injury, managed to score the KOM jersey and gained the name Road Dog. What more can I say!
Lastly, to each and every one of you thank you so much for taking time out of your busy lives to be part of the amazing event Virgin Australia’s 1000ks 4 Kids. The training, commitment, hard work and dedication you have shown throughout this year is extraordinary. For the newer riders, at the start you probably wondered what you had gotten yourself into. As you near the end, you become a part of our family, had an experience of a lifetime, and no doubt have made 65 new friends along the way. You are all superstars and on behalf of our families and friends thank you!
GO ALEX & TEAM RED :)
